See the Speedglas 9100XXi difference
Introducing the new 3M™ Speedglas™ Welding Helmet Series 9100XXi. The Speedglas 9100XXi offers True-View combined with the largest viewing area on the market* that includes SideWindow
peripheral vision.
Below we show the vision that you'd be used to (right)... then we compare that view with the new 3M Speedglas 9100XXi Welding Helmet Series Vision (left).
Thanks to improved optics, True-View allows you to more readily recognise colours and contours. Literally see the difference when you focus on your welding set-up, welding technique, precision grinding, and inspection of just-completed welds.
Why can I now see colour?
As you know a welding lens blocks UV & IR which are the harmful components of light. UV is UltraVoilet and IR is InfraRed. So, UV is at the voilet or blue end of the light scale and IR is at the red end of the light scale. By blocking the harmful parts of light, welding lenses would also block the blues and reds from reaching the welder. Hence why from the outside of the welding helmet a welding lens appears purple (Purple = Blue + Red being reflected).
With the new Speedglas 9100XXi Welding Helmet Series the welder benefits from the same level of UV/IR protection BUT also benefits from being able to see a much wider visible light spectrum. This results in more colour and more definition in every weld.
Other Features of the Speedglas Welding Helmet 9100XXi
A new motion-sensor instantly turns the welding lens ON and with the advanced External Grind & Set-and-Forget feature you never need to touch the internal Welding Helmet control panel again.
Experience the power of Speedglas 9100XXi, capable of detecting an arc down to an industry leading 1 amp.
